Woodheads Seeds Limited have now been trading for over 200 years. We are now Yorkshires largest independent seed merchant.

We offer a complete service from supplying high quality certified seed to offering full buy back provision. In addition to this we offer cleaning of your own seed at our plant and we can supply fertilizer at competitive rates .

We supply cereals, herbage, OSR, pulses, gamecover crops, root seeds and fertiliser. We buy milling and feed wheat, malting and feed barley, feed oats, OSR and linseed

We are able to set very high standards of seed production and processing through the relationships we have built with our growers. Many of our growers have been producing for Woodheads for more than 30 years.

Although 90% of our seed comes from Woodheads growers, we look for the best seed at the best value when we buy additional stocks. As members of PRISM (Private Retail Independent Seed Merchants) we are able to deal directly with Plant Breeders and we are often able to offer EXCLUSIVE varieties. It is also interesting to note that 20-25% of cereal seed trade in the UK is through PRISM members.

All of our seed goes through rigorous DEFRA Standard inspections and is independently tested.
