White Clover
White clover is used for grazing leys. It stimulates the fixation of atmospheric nitrogen which helps grass growth. White clover is very digestible and has a superior nutritive value to ryegrass. It is not suitable for use in mixtures for equine use.

Red Clover
Red clover is used mainly for the production of hay in one year leys giving bulky yields and early spring growth. Red clover is split into two groups Early (traditionally known as Broad Red or Double Cut) and Late (Traditionally known as late flowering red clover.

Timothy
The use of Timothy in seed mixtures will increase the yield of palatable hay and silage. Timothy contains a higher percentage of protein than most other grasses. It gives its best performance on heavier soils and although slow to establish it is persistent.

Cocksfoot yields in late summer and is suitable for use as autumn keep in November and December. It is particularly useful in areas prone to drought and most varieties have good winter hardiness.
